Pop star Mariah Carey performed Thursday night (Nov 19) at the official Christmas lighting ceremony at the Westfield Shopping Centre in London, England.

The “imperfect angel” is most definitely living up to her name lately. Can you believe that for this particular event, she actually requested 100 white doves, 20 fluffy white kittens, pink butterfly-shaped confetti, a pink carpet (instead of a red one), a Rolls Royce, 80 security guards and a magical wand? All of this came verbatim from her contract rider, which included mention of her 100 person entourage. The white doves were to be released at some point during the ceremony while the pink butterfly-shaped confetti was to fall on her as she made her way to a pink podium. And to light the tree, she would use some type of “magical wand.” No one knows what the fluffy white kittens were for.

But unfortunately for Mimi, despite her crazy requests, the organizers had to nix anything that involved animals because the Westfield mall said they don’t allow them due to health reasons. The mall said: “We do not allow pets into Westfield – that rule would apply for everyone.”

So it sounds like she just had to get her ass up there and do her job like anyone else would, instead of being so damn extra all the time! Nick must have to put up with a lot of bull…

Some people might still be giving Chris Brown a hard for what he did but the judge presiding over the case recently gave the “I Can Transform Ya” singer a pat on the pack for his good behavior regarding the terms of his punishment for the Rihanna assault case.

Upon hearing that Chris Brown has completed 100 hours of community labor and has gone through 7 sessions of domestic violence counseling, Judge Patricia Schnegg said, “Excellent. It’s an extremely favorable progress report.”

In addition, Chris has paid off all of his court bills and has even given a sample of his DNA. He’s ordered back for another status report in February 2010.

Chris Brown’s fan appreciation tour stopped in Hollywood Wednesday (Nov 18) at the Avalon. The 20-year-old R&B/pop singer/songwriter brought along rapper Tyga and hip-hop group The New Boyz to open for him. At the end of Chris Brown’s set, he told the crowd that a portion of the concert’s proceeds went to Best Buddies, a charity for people with developmental disabilities. GQ Men of the Year Wale and Drake attended the party celebrating their honor at the Chateau Marmont Wednesday evening (Nov 18) in Hollywood. According to the popular men’s magazine, Wale, Drake and Kid Cudi have “killed” gangsta Hip-Hop, earning each of them the “Man of the Year” title.

GQ says: Have you been listening to hip-hop this year? If not, we’ve got good news: The gangster persona is finally dead, and these are the kids who killed it. One song at a time, they build a new era in which duct-taped kilos, exotic firearms, and freaky girls are out and real life is the focus. … Wale is as famous for his live shows as for the slick-witted lyricism of his debut Attention Deficit. Kid Cudi is the cut up who scored with the stoner anthem “Day N Nite” and his album Man on the Moon. The Fulton County Medical Examiner has released documents confirming that AJ Jewell’s death has officially been ruled a homicide. AJ was a regular on the hit BRAVO reality series The Real Housewives of Atlanta. He was engaged to one of the Housewives (Kandi Burruss) throughout the taping of the show. The two broke up over the summer shortly before AJ died following a fight at a club in Atlanta in October.

TMZ reports: The cause of death is listed as, “Physical altercation resulting in sickle cell trait related exertional collapse.” Contributing factors are listed as, “intestinal myocardial fidrosis,” as well as an enlarged heart.

Translation — the fight triggered a flare up with Jewell’s sickle cell disease.

Frederick Richardson, the other guy involved in the fight has been arrested, charged with voluntary manslaughter and is currently behind bars.

Anderson’s attorney told TMZ: “It’s an unfortunate situation, Frederick is sorry this situation happened and that A.J. died.”

Award winning gospel singer Donnie McClurkin recently spoke at the COGIC 102 Holy Convocation International Youth Department Service and dedicated his sermon to bashing gays. McClurkin, known as an “ex-gay,” spoke about gay youth and Tonex, an openly gay gospel singer. I have seen the video and must say that I am honestly disgusted for several reasons. I loved Donnie McClurkin – I loved his music and he is a very talented man. But after this sermon, I have lost all respect for him. I know many of you are asking why. “He is saying what he believes to be the truth,” says one of my friends. My response: there is a difference between stating what you believe and gay bashing, which is what he did. I have written an open letter to Donnie McClurkin, which you can find below:

Well, we know at least 1 Jackson can hold her own!

It turns out Michael Jackson’s series of lavish funerals were definitely a home going fit for a king! After three different ceremonies following his death in June, Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest in September. Everything combined ended up costing at least $1 million!

The only other person in the family with a cash flow like Mike would be his little sister Janet Jackson, who graciously covered some of the cost of the funeral bill, which was a whopping $103,578.50 and she put up $49,372.50 initially. Documents state that MJ ’sestate was granted permission to pay Janet back the money though and they picked up the remainder of the tab.

Damn Gucci!!

According to a rep from his label, Gucci Mane was sentenced to 12 months in prison and taken away in handcuffs Thursday (Nov 12) for violating his probation.

The sentence is a blow to Gucci’s career. The ATL rapper has an album coming out — The State vs. Radrick Davis — on December 8 and is arguably at the height of his career; in terms of his sentence, he may be out of jail in six months. Last September, Gucci went to jail and served until March; he was sentenced to a year in prison for failing to fulfill his court-ordered 600 hours of community service, which had been mandated in 2005. A paparazzo thought it’d be a good idea to antagonize ex-heavyweight championship boxer Mike Tyson at a ticket counter at Los Angeles’ LAX airport Wednesday (Nov 11). So he went through with his little plan and he ended up lying on his back on the floor bleeding. And then he and Mike BOTH got arrested.

TMZ has learned Mike Tyson has been arrested at LAX airport for battery after a bloody confrontation with a paparazzo outside the United terminal. We’re told Tyson punched the pap in the face and there is blood everywhere. We’re told Tyson was at a ticket counter at the United Airlines terminal when the incident occurred. The photographer got punched in the face, hit the ground, got up and began walking, leaving a trail of blood. An LAPD spokesperson said the photographer suffered a minor laceration to the forehead.

Someone at the scene tells TMZ … the photographer got very close to Tyson before the boxer struck him. Our says there’s blood on the ground and Mike was taken away in a squad car. We’re told an ambulance was dispatched at 4:39 PM to LAX and the paparazzo was transported to a local hospital.

Cops say Tyson and the photographer performed citizen’s arrests on each other — both are expected to be booked for misdemeanor battery. Cops also said witnesses backed both stories … so that could get interesting. If Tyson is prosecuted, given that he’s a former boxing champ, the charge could end up being assault with a deadly weapon.

It probably sounded like a good idea in the beginning, but we’re sure  the thought of “oh sh*t I don’t think I shouldn’t have done this!” came across the photographer’s mind as Mike delivered that blow to the face.

NBA star Shaquille O’ Neal and wife Shaunie O’ Neal have decided to file for separation. The two apparently can not seem to reconcile their difference just like in 2007 when Shaq filed for divorce when he believed his wife was stashing away money throughout their marriage. The couple, who reportedly have a prenuptial agreement, eventually reconciled after the bitter dispute.

According to recent reports, Shaunie (real name: Va’shaundya) later plans to file for divorce and she’s also seeking full custody of their four children, spousal (and child) support and visitation rights for Shaq.

Shaunie pulled her kids out of school last week in Florida and they now reside in L.A. with her.  For some odd reason Shaq’s people believe its all about money.  Wonder why that may be? Well on November 8th she flew to L.A. and filed for separation there because a spouse generally does a lot better in the spousal support department in California than in Florida.  Shaunie is now claiming L.A. as her residential area.

To date, Shaq and Shaunie have been married for 6 years 11 months.

Hundreds of Britney Spears fans up and left a concert in Australia over the weekend on account of her lip-syncing, something she’s been known to do since the start of her career. Australian media reports that after only performing 3 songs in Perth Friday night (Nov 6), fans describing the show as “boring” and said Britney spears was stiff and failed to connect with the audience. And they got all of this before the first dress change…

But the people in Britney’s inner circle, including a few of her fans, say Britney is well aware of the complaints and it definitely affects her.

“Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it. She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting,” Britney’s tour manager Paul Dainty told Australian newspapers on Monday.

After a high profile meltdown the star has reinvented her-self with a comeback to attempt to take the world by storm. Britney has been touring all over the world with her sixth studio album Circus. Before her life ran out of control she had done a handful of live concerts. This out of control behavior has caused her to (in no particular order) be in psychiatric care, go through an ugly divorce, lose custody of her two sons (temporarily), shave her head completely bald and go out partying without panties.

It was announced early Tuesday morning (Nov 10) that retired NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was diagnosed with cancer, marking his very first public disclosure about the disease. The 62-year-old NBA legend was officially diagnosed with “chronic myeloid leukemia” back in December 2008 and has been coping well with treatment ever since.

Abdul-Jabbar says: “Having lost one of my closest friends to a different, highly aggressive form of leukemia, I knew how serious my diagnosis was. My own life expectancy became a question mark.”

Before he retired in 1989, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar earned the title of all-time leading scorer of the NBA and he also won six championships (1 with the Bucks and 5 with the Lakers). In December 2008 he was diagnosed with CML and is being treated with a medicine that targets the abnormal protein that causes his leukemia.

Rapper DMX owes Uncle Sam (also known as the IRS) over $1.5 million in back taxes. The state of New York filed a lien against the rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) and his wife Tashera in both January of this year and March 2006.

The rapper also owes the New York State Tax Commission $44,357 and $370,460 and liens were filed against the couple in 2005 and 2006 to collect the monies owed.

He is also said to owe the IRS (in the state of Arizona) from past incomes earned back in 2002, 2003 and 2005, totaling over $600,000.

DMX is the latest of hip hop stars to have a run in with the IRS. Some of our other big name rappers who aren’t on good terms with Uncle Sam right now are Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, MC Hammer and Method Man, who have all been sued by the IRS for delinquent taxes. Looks like DMX has some catching up to do before they put his azz in the dogpound!

People Magazine has confirmed that Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri are back still together, despite Janet openly speaking out about her relationship with Jermaine shortly after her brother Michael Jackson’s death for the first time in Harper’s Baazar claiming that she was single:

Janet is also now single, recently breaking off her seven-year relationship with music producer, Jermaine Dupri. Does she still believe in marriage? “For [some] people, sure! William Briggs (Katt’s attorney) told TMZ Katt was in Georgia shooting a movie, staying at the property of a friend and the movie’s producer, Barry Hankerson. ??Briggs says the reason his client was busted is because he was involved in a dispute with one of Barry’s employees who lives in the guesthouse. The vengeful employee called the cops and reported a faux burglary, Briggs says. Briggs adds Katt had “full permission” to be on the property and has been staying there for the last 3 weeks.

Katt’s bond was set at $41,150.

Before taking the stage at the Pauley Pavilion in Westwood for his “Blueprint 3″ album promo tour, Jay-Z was seen courtside Sunday night (Nov 8) at the Lakers game at the Staples Center when the Los Angeles team took on the New Orleans Hornets, defeating them with a final score of 104 to 88. Only Jay-Z would make time to go to a basketball game just hours before a concert. You know you ballin’ when you got it like that!!

Joe Jackson is rambling on again. This time he is seeking reparation from his late son Michael Jackson’s estate.  The latest court document says he receives a $1,700 monthly Social Security check and has relied on his son for many years … and now that he’s dead and gone, Papa Joe wants $15,000 per month!

“He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support,” the filing stated.

The late singer’s private trust calls for $26,000 to be paid a month to his mother, $60,000 a month for his three children, and several different charities.  There was no mention of his father in the will.

Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the adminstrators of the MJ estate says, “It was quite surprising to learn of the request…Mr. Jackon’s petition will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael’s estate.”

According to the filing, Joe Jackson suffers from diabetes and had a stroke in 1998. He has been married to Katherine Jackson for 50 years, but he lists his home in Las Vegas. She lives at the family home in Encino, north of Los Angeles.” All the family payments need to be reevaluated due to Joe Jackon extensive request for $15,000 a month; even mother Katherince Jackson has another hearing for early 2010.

Usher Raymond and Tameka Foster are officially single and no longer “man and wife.” Supreme Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane issued a final decree in the divorce case last Wednesday (Nov 4), according to the Associated Press.

Usher filed for divorce stating that he and Tameka have been separated since July of 2008.  He said there was no way to have reconcilation after being apart that long and the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” On the other hand Tameka says that she believed her relationship was “intact ” as of June 6th and that the divorce came as a surpirse.

Together the couple has two boys, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.  When Usher filed he was seeking custody of both children, but no custody arrangements have been made to this day.

Now that Michael Jackson is gone there is a heightened interest in the Jackson family as a whole, and the A&E network has decided to showcase the Jackson: A Family Dynasty on Sunday, Dec. 13th, at 9 p.m.

A&E will have a six show run and two-hour episodes. The show will include brothers Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Jackie as they prepare for a reunion tour across the U.S. with what was supposed to also include a performance Michael Jackson in Texas next summer. The shooting of the TV show started up again after the death of MJ in June and these episodes will talk about their personal reaction and emotion to the situation of their brother’s sudden death.

In a 30 second preview of the show, tagged “You only think you know them,” the brothers can be heard in voiceover discussing their comeback.

“It’s been 20 years since we were in the studio,” one says. “How are we going to make this happen?” another replies.

“I never wanted to hurt y’all; I never wanted to be separated,” a third pleads over stock footage of their modest upbringing in Gary, Indiana, as the phrase “The wait is over” flashes on the screen.

“We’ve never forgotten where we come from,” another says. “What do we got? Each other. Let’s show them who we are.”

This touching footage of the Jacksons living their American Dream will give us an inside look of these superstars’ reality. No word on whether or not Jackson’s three children (Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II) will be included the show.  In the meantime, peep the trailer after the break!

I will start this by saying this very clearly: I do NOT condone domestic violence. The views below are of mine and not of Gossip On This as a whole. Domestic violence is never okay under any circumstance and I do not believe it is right for a man to hit a woman, or in retrospect for a woman to hit a man. On the night of Friday November 6th, Rihanna’s very first post-assault interview aired on ABC’s 20/20 and naturally, the Internet was buzzing before the interview, through the interview, and even after the interview. Many finally saw Rihanna as a human as she told her story of what happened the night she and her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown got into an altercation. But on the other side, many others saw her as untruthful and selfish for using this as an opportunity to promote her upcoming album. Going into the interview, I expected Rihanna to tell her side of the story. I expected her to leave information out and to make Chris Brown seem like the bad guy. I expected her to throw him under the bus, run him over, reverse, and do it all over again. Unfortunately, after the interview, I realized that all my expectations came true.

Worlwide star Beyonce is under scrutiny by the Egyptian Muslims because of her theatrics and tour customes, and they’re saying her show is an “insolent sex party” and believe that her performing in their country will make it hard to maintain social peace and stability. Displayed throughout Cairo, Egypt are posters of Beyonc gripping a set of motorcycle bars extending from her waist and sporting a revealing flame covered outfit. This is completely opposite of anything a Muslim woman wearing a traditional head car would have on walking down the streets of the Egyptian capital.

TV ads running on Egyptian and Arab satellite stations have been promoting the show, which is a part of Beyonce’s “I Am…” world tour. And as of October, said tour has grossed nearly $54 million, according to Billboard magazine. Campaigns and social networking sites accussed the government of debauchery and fought hard for a cancellation of the show. And a facebook campaign collected over 10,000 members for banning Beyonce’s “concert nudity.”

The Kardashians aren’t wasting any time finding love and making it stick. Khloe, the youngest Kardashian girl, recently got married to Lamar Odom. Kourtney, the oldest, is expecting her first child with her on/off boyfriend Scott Disick; and now Kim is ready to take things to the next level with her off and on boyfriend Reggie Bush.

Sources say the couple is looking to take the next step in their relationship and buy a house and move in together. Kim is putting her $1.1 million dollar condo in the heart of Los Angelos back on the market for grabs and the former eligible bachelor is releasing his $5.1 million dollar bachelor pad back to the housing market under the control of Kim’s real estate agent.

Kim tells TMZ.com, “We just made the decision that we want to make it work, and the time off was really beneficial for the both of us. I think sometimes people need to take a break just to take time off to see how much they need each other and how much they really are compatible.”

This will be her first extended sit-down interview with her brother Michael’s death back in June. Janet’s Number Ones greatest hits compilation drops November 17th and the interview will air the next day. Number Ones is a two disc feature-set of her biggest hit singles, and will include a new track called “Make Me,” which is a tribute to her late brother’s smash single “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.”

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z says that if he had to choose to do one thing before he died, he would love to fly to the moon! The Grammy Award winning rapper told Gotham Magazine that he’s accomplished a lot in his liftime, but he’d love to “Go to the moon.”

Until all domestic abuse allegations are cleared and resolved, singer BeBe Winans will not be appearing on an upcoming episode of The Oprah Show.

While promoting he and his sister CeCe’s new album Still, the gospel veteran taped an appearance of the “Karaoke Challenge” show as a judge last Friday, and bloggers and Winans’ ex-wife accused Oprah of having a double standard after having a special on domestic abuse and taking a strong stance against domestic violence following the Chris Brown/Rihanna assault incident.

Last Friday when Winfrey allowed BeBe Winans onto the show, his ex-wife told TMZ she was “hurt” by the talk show host’s decision because their case is still pending. Now, it looks like Oprah got the message.

Winans was charged with assualt last winter after he allegedly pushed his ex-wife Debra Winans to the ground following an argument regarding the custody of their children.  His official court date is set for January 20th.

The already nasty divorce between Nas and Kelis just got nastier! The rapper recently filed legal papers requesting that the judge presiding over the case block his estranged wife Kelis from getting child support.

The legal papers, filed by his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, also state that Nasir is asking for joint custody of their two-month-old son Knight.

Back in July, the judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis over $50,000 per month in spousal and child support. And now Nas wants that number to be dropped down to only include money for his son.

When police issued a ticket for the small traffic violation the two women’s attitude and mouths become vulgar toward the policeman. Dominique and her mother argued that they were only trying to get around the slow moving patrol car. Sources report Dominique, who was driving, argued against the order and she and her mother were collared for disorderly conduct and obstruction of governmental administration. The two ladies were given desk appearance tickets and were allowed to go home.

“How what was apparently a minor traffic dispute ended up with two arrests with desk appearance tickets is highly questionable and unusual,” Michael A. Hardy (Sharpton’s lawyer) said. “Reverend Sharpton has been made aware of the details of the matter and will aggressively support his daughter and her mother, despite their announced change of marital status in 2003.”

Al Sharpton and his now ex wife divorced back in 2003 after 23 years of marriage. They have two adult children, Dominique (23) and Ashley (22). Dominique currently works for her dad’s Harlem based company, National Action Network.

Diddy has big plans to expand his Ciroc Vodka alcoholic beverage line. The hip hop mogul launched his first liquor in 2007 and since then sales have increased six-fold. This has proven his relationship with Ciroc to be promising and long lasting, so now the Vodka brand is looking to expand the Ciroc line to include additional flavors.In the United States, some of the new flavors will be coconut and red berry.

Combs owns over 50 percent of the brand and will reap half of the $2 billion profit it generated in 2008. Sean Combs Enterprises are accountable for brand management decisions in the venture, including marketing, advertising, public relations, events and product placement.

Some knife toting 25 year old man named Chidi Uzomah has been trying to attack American Idol host Ryan Seacrest for the past few months. And the crazy dude was finally caught and arrested Friday (Oct 31) after trying to sneak into the officies E! Entertainment Television in Los Angeles where the TV personality was working.

Uzomah was already on probation for attempting to jump in a cab with the host last month and choking a bodyguard for trying to restrain him. The court document from this most recent incident states, “Uzomah was carrying a knife into the building on Friday.”

Seacrest filed a restraining order the same day, and now the charged stalker is being held on $150,000 bail.

Cleveland Cavaliers baskeball star Shaquille O’Neal has admitted more than once he is interested in a career in the law force.  This may very well be the next step after his career in the NBA.  It is said that when he gets time off from his busy basketball career, the 7 ft. 1 in. center hangs out with the 5-0 as a reserve L.A. Port police officer, and in Miami he serves as a Beach reserve officer.

Shaq was also part of the Maricopa County Sherriff Posse in Arizona, until he was relieved of his duties after going after NBA player Kobe Bryant in a rap battle. But now, “Officer O’Neal” wants to be with the po-po in Cleveland.

Black Voices reports: “Shaq applied to become a special deputy with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff. If his application is approved, he would require 36 hours of police training and take an Ohio police exam. If he completes the training and passes the test, he will be deputized.

“But what does a special deputy do? Not much, but just enough. The title allows him to carry a firearm and make arrests, but he would not be a paid formal employee. That’s right, he’s being a cop for the fun of it!”

TV star Rashinda Jones is denying rumors that she and guitarist John Mayer are seeing each other. The online gossip mill said the two were spotted having dinner together Friday night (Oct 23) at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood. Supposed “witnesses” at the restaurant even said John borrowed a guitar from one of the restaurants’ performers and sung “Your Body is a Wonderland” to Jones, who plays Ann in the new NBC comedy, “Parks & Recreation.”

But a spokesperson for Rashida says she and John were NOT there together. They were there separately, each with their own group of friends.

“She was having dinner with friends – totally independent of him,” the rep told WENN. “He came over to the table she was at with her friends, said hello to everyone, (and) asked if he could play the guitar that her friends were already playing. (His) performance was not directed at anyone.”

Rashida Jones, whose father is musical genius Quincy Jones, is still dating presidential speechwriter Jon Favreau.

The hot tempered model we all know as Naomi Campbell is back in court again, but this time it’s not because she laid the smack-down on somebody or anything like that. She’s allegedly holding out on paying a company who helped her develop a line of cosmetics. And now the Miami-based company, known as “Moodform Missions,” is suing her.

“The payments stopped coming,” said Daniel Bright, a lawyer for Moodform Missions. “I guess she just decided she didn’t want to pay any more.”

Campbell signed a contract back in 1998 agreeing to pay a portion of the profits to Moodform, the company responsible for developing the line of cosmetics. Bright says she and the distributors are still making money off of the products, but Moodform is apparently isn’t receiving a penny.

But Naomi’s people deny the company’s claims.

According to reports, Shyne was deported to his home country of Belize today after serving almost nine years in jail in connection with a shooting at a New York night club back in 1999. His father, who just so happens to be the Prime Minister of the country, has enlisted Harvard Law Professor and Obama insider Charles Ogletree to get NY Gov. David Patterson to pardon Shyne so that he can return to the U.S.

According to a press release from Major League Baseball, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys‘ performance has been rescheduled to take place in tomorrow’s (Thurs. Oct 29) pre-game ceremonies, which will air on FOX at 7:30 PM ET. Tonight’s inclement weather was the cause for the postponing of the performance. Officials say the staging for the show could “adversely impact the field if it is wet, creating damaged and unsafe playing conditions.”

Lady Gaga recently revealed via her Twitter page that her father was having open heart surgery. Now the “Poker Face” singer is stating that her recent success, which has led to her having some money in her pockets, has allowed her to pay for the whole operation with ease.

In a radio interview with 104.7 KISS FM in Phoenix, Arizona on Monday morning (Oct 26) the singer said, “It was pretty necessary… It was the biggest nightmare of my life. My father is my whole world; I’m such a daddy’s girl. I said, ‘I haven’t bought anything yet with any of the money that I’ve made from my new album… so let me buy you a new heart, dad.’ And he said, ‘OK, fine.’”

Gaga’s took two weeks off from her busy work schedule to take care of her recovering father, and she’s so happy her dad’s surgery went well she wants to get a tattoo to celebrate.

Eighteen people were injured at an Akon (featuring T-Pain) concert in Melbourne, Australia Monday night (Oct 26) when over 50 people rushed security guards to get into the venue. Sadly 8 to 11 of the eighteen people had to be rushed to the hospital for serious trauma.  Although a lot of fans were involved in the chaotic brawl only a 21 year old male who knocked a security guard unconsciousness during the melee has been charged with assault.

To no avail, Akon jumped into crowd during his performance to try stop the crowd from fighting.  A YouTube video shows Akon jumping down with his body guards trying to calm the fans down while the crowd cheered. Akon, top of one of his bodyguards’ shoulders at this this point, directs his attention toward the crowd saying, “Hold on Melbourne…I need ya’ll to let me speak for one second. I don’t know if ya’ll know how hard it took me to get there. It took me almost two years for Australia… and I am not going to let them f*ck up our concert tonight.”

Wait, Brian McKnight has a talk show???

TMZ is reporting that there’s some craziness going on behind the scenes of R&B singer/songwriter Brian McKnight’s new television show, “The Brian McKnight Show.”

According to the California Labor Board, more than 20 employees have filed non-payment complaints against the McKnight show — totaling $86,300.

But Brian’s people intend to pay — telling us there “was mismanagement in the beginning and since then we have gotten new investors and the show is continuing.”

We didn’t even know Brian McKnight had a talk show to begin with! And apparently he has a radio show too. There’s an official website and everything with information on where and when the radio/tv show airs. All of this is definitely news to us.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of him at J&R Music and Computer World in New York City Tuesday (Oct 27) promoting his new album, Evolution of a Man.

“My latest album is a culmination of how much I have changed,” McKnight said in a recent interview with the Banner. “I just turned 40, and I am a newly single dad after being married mostly during my 20s and 30s. This album is about the next stage in my life.”

LaToya Jackson says her nieces and nephews are taking their father Michael Jackson’s death pretty hard; so hard that the three of them are going through therapy to cope with their loss. She even mentioned how heartbroken Paris is because she’ll never be able to see her daddy perform live in person.

“Paris thinks and talks about her father all the time. She’s doing very well, writes a lot and she wears his shirts every day. They still smell of him and it helps her feel close to him. Her bedroom is covered in posters of Michael and she watches tapes of him all the time. After he passed, the kids went up to the house to get whatever they wanted. Paris took anything with a picture of her father on and brought it back to her new room at my mother’s house. She was so upset that she would never see her father on stage. She said, ‘Now I’ll never get the chance to see Daddy perform live.’

Khloe Kardashian wrote on her blog Monday (Oct 26) that over the weekend, she and her new husband Lamar Odom made a spontaneous decision to get matching tattoos. While the couple were eating dinner Saturday night (Oct 24) at Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles, Khloe says she just knew she wanted to get a tattoo for Lamar in the web of her hand. She also explained how she’s a firm believer in thoughtful tattoos with significant meaning and she mentioned the tattoos she has in memory of her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian.

Khloe writes:

Hi dolls! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend…I definitely did! Saturday night Lamar and I were eating at Sunset Plaza and I just said, “Let’s go to Tattoo Mania! I want a tattoo!” I think the best tattoo experiences are the spontaneous ones, because that way you are not only left with the tattoo, but an amazing memory to go along with it!

Your boy Chris Brown just can’t let well enough be can he? The 20-year-old musician posted this YouTube video to his Twitter account earlier today along with the message, “IM SORRY YALL. JUST HAD TO POST IT.” The video features a sad melodic backing track along with a montage of different pictures and video clips of Chris and his ex girlfriend Rihanna before their big fight back in February 2009 (almost a year ago).

Dude can’t legally speak to Rihanna (or even be in her presence) for 5 years so it’s high time he chills out or this half-decade is going to feel like half a century! We think he needs to just let this go and move on with his life. You don’t see Rihanna pouring her heart out all on her Twitter do you?

Rap star Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to a class “D” violent felony of attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree at a court hearing in Manhattan Thursday morning (Oct 22) stemming from a July 2007 arrest following a show in New York.

Police pulled over Wayne’s tour bus back in July 2007 on the night of his show at New York’s Beacon Theater, which also marked his first headlining concert in the city. After conducing a search of the bus, he and another man were subsequently arrested by NY police for criminal possession of a weapon (a .40-caliber semi-automatic) and criminal possession of marijuana, respectively.

At Thursday’s court hearing, he pleaded guilty to the charges and accepted a 1-year prison term, of which he’s only expected to serve about 8 months.

Lil Wayne (real name: Dwayne Carter) will officially be sentenced in February 2010, and at that point he must surrender himself to authorities and begin his prison sentence.

Singer/songwriter Justin Timberlake was granted his request for a restraining order against one of his compulsive lady fans, who made several unannounced visits to his Los Angeles home. More recently on October 22nd, the 48-year-old woman named Karen McNeil got in a cab and made her way to Justin’s house before bypassing security measures, trespassing onto his private property, attempting to gain access to his home and claimed to be friends with Timberlake.

TMZ reports that the woman, who is said to be a mentally unstable celebrity stalker, frequently enters through the gates of Justin’s private community and refuses to leave.

In 1997, for the same offense, McNeil also violated an order of protection granted to Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose. Justin claims this time she didn’t want to leave so his staff called the police and she was arrested. McNeil claims she only wanted to leave a note for the singer.

LAPD cops took her to the psychiatric ward in a local hospital and gave her a 5150 psychiatric evaluation.  Unfortunately she did not reach the criteria to be placed and was shortly released afterward.
