Monica’s new album Still Standing hits stores this coming Tuesday (Mar 23) and to hold you over to the release, here’s a track from the album called “Mirror,” produced by Jim Jonsin. She told our friends over at Rap-Up.com that this was one of her “absolute favorite songs on the album.”

“I have to say one of my absolute favorite songs on the album is ‘Mirror,’” she revealed. “The reason that this song means so much to me, it’s about being comfortable with what you see when you look in the mirror, but it’s over a mid[tempo] beat that’s still very hip, very new, and very young.”

Solange Knowles is gearing up to release her third solo release sometime this year and to hold her fans over, via her newly launched blog she’s released a new track that she says won’t be on the new album. The song is called “Under Construction” and is done over a Thievery Corporation instrumental.

In other news, Solange recently announced that she is one of the new faces of Rimmel London, something that’s sure to get her name out there for the release of her album.

Singers Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber have teamed up for a new song called “Eenie Meenie,” which according to People, was co-written by Sean and will be featured on both Sean and Justin’s upcoming albums. Justin’s new album My World 2.0 drops week after next (Tue. Mar 23).

After meeting last year at a radio show, Bieber, 16, and Kingston, 20, became close friends. “I’m kind of like his big brother,” says Kingston, who spent last weekend celebrating his pal’s birthday in L.A. The pair share a love of sneakers, cars, X-Box games – and, of course, making music. “Eenie Meenie,” in fact, is just the beginning of their collaborations. “We’re starting a writing team together,” Kingston reveals.

It’s almost time for rapper T.I. to make his exit from that halfway house but in the meantime, check out his new single, titled “I’m Back,” which comes straight from his upcoming seventh studio album, due in stores August 24th.

“This record right here kinda reminds me of the Urban Legend T.I.,” said Trackslayerz’s Price, referring to the rapper’s 2004 album. “But it’s from the point of when he got locked up. It’s no fall off [with] the lyricism. It’s like he’s completely focused. T.I. went extremely hard. He went in.”

Now that all the girls from the Pussycat Dolls have left the group (with the exception of Nicole Scherzinger), they’re each going to take a stab at having a successful solo career. The first former Doll to crack the scene is Kimberly Wyatt. A new track, titled “Candy,” from Aggro Santos has surfaced and it features vocals from Kimberly. The song is a dance track that we can see being played at the club a lot. Now the only thing that’s left is to see if it garners enough buzz to keep her going.

The fellas of the R&B singing group Brutha (consisting of REAL brothers  — Grady, Jake, Anthony, Papa and Jared) are back on the music scene with their new R. Kelly penned single “One Day On This Earth.” This new track comes straight from the R&B quintet’s sophomore album, Vacancy, due in stores soon.

You also might remember these guys from their BET reality show “Brothers to Brutha,” which was seen by 1.2 – 1.5 million viewers every week.

“The show allowed us to create a pretty solid fan base because we had 1.2 to 1.5million viewers every week,” says Jared who brings his love of hip-hop into Brutha’s sound. “But I don’t think the show really showed a lot of our musical side so now it’s time to start focusing more on the music.”

While their first album was well received by their fans, Brutha is ready to show the world just how far they have come. Their sophomore album, Vacancy is an intimate reflection of their young, fly and flashy lifestyle. With production from contemporary greats like R. Kelly, Vacancy is a sexy ride in the fast lane told only the way Brutha can.

“With our first album, we were new in the game,” says Anthony whose production knowledge enhances the guys’ overall sound. “We didn’t really get a chance to be ourselves. But his time around we have more experience and we are able to be more of ourselves. So it’s more sexual, it’s edgier and that’s who we are.”

R&B singer Fantasia is preparing to release her third album, led by the first single “Even Angels” which she premiered on Oprah earlier this month. Four new songs have leaked from her recording sessions and it’s safe to say that Fantasia is staying true to her R&B roots. Kelly Rowland is gearing up to release her new album and a newly recorded track has surfaced. We’re not sure if it will be featured on the album but the track, titled “How Deep Is Your Love,” features singer Michael Bublé and is a cover of the Bee Gees classic. It sure is a different sound from her R&B and dance tracks but it displays her vocals very nicely. We’ve always thought Kelly’s voice was underrated so it’s nice to hear tracks where she proves she can actually sing.

Meanwhile, Kelly has been in the studio working with the likes of Ne-Yo, Danja, Polow Da Don, David Guetta, Rico Love, Toby Gad, Jim Jonsin, Bryan-Michael Cox, and more on her new album, which is set to be released around May/June; the first single should be released in April. Clearly, Kelly’s team isn’t playing this time around. Hopefully she gets the success she deserves! It’s interesting to see how she’ll do WITHOUT Mathew Knowles…

Rocker Bret Michaels, most recently famous for his stint as a VH1 reality star in “Rock of Love,” enlisted teenage pop/country sensation Miley Cyrus to sing in his new song titled “Nothing to Lose.”

“Bret and I had a great time in the studio together just hanging out and making music,” Miley has said. “He’s is so passionate about music and it shows. I think it is such a rad collaboration because it shows that two artists that seem so different on the outside can come together and organically create something that we are both proud of.”

JUST JARED

There’s nothing wrong with a 46-year-old singing a duet with a 17-year-old, but the fact that the song is talking about getting naked makes this a tad bit … “creepy” to say the least. Take a listen to the new track above and let us know what you think!

Singer/songwriter/producer The Dream released the first single from his upcoming album Love King yesterday. As noted by the album’s lead single of the same name, The Dream wants people to know that he is the king of love. And we want him to know that he just might have another hit on his hands because this song is kinda hot!

Taking to his Twitter, Dream told his followers that he plans on releasing “singles and four videos before May 17th” so he has a lot of work ahead of him, with that and the new baby and all (it should be making its way in any day now).

Simon Cowell recently put together a song to benefit the Haiti relief effort and the finished product hit radio airwaves in the U.K. this morning. Fantasia is finally back with a new single! It seems she lost the fight to have “Move On Me” be her first single from her upcoming album but we think her new single “Even Angels” is just as good. The mid-tempo track is produced by The Stereotypes and while it’s still got the R&B feel and sound to it, we see this possibly, with the right promotion, crossing over to the Pop charts!

The track is available now on iTunes and Fantasia will be on Oprah tomorrow to talk about her life and to debut her new single.

Rappers Lil Wayne and Missy Elliott teamed up for this freshly leaked track called “All 4 U.” The (unfinished) song is rumored to be featured on the legendary emcee’s forthcoming seventh studio album, Block Party, due at the top of the new year.

The syncopated track features Missy’s trademark blend of rapping and singing, while Weezy delivers an X-rated verse.

“Baby, what’s up with you tonight/ You wanna get busy, I can read your mind,” Missy purrs seductively on the song. Elliott only contributes one verse to “All 4 U” and more than half the song features just the instrumental. A representative for the Virginia native told MTV News on Tuesday (December 29) that the song is unfinished and “still really rough.”

Elliott has kept a low profile since her last album, which featured the Ciara-boosted hit “Lose Control,” was released. She’s appeared sparingly as a guest, including on a track by Keyshia Cole, and contributed to the soundtrack of the “Step Up 2: The Streets.” As far as her own work, however, Block Party — her seventh album — has had a number of delays, most recently being pushed back from a summer 2009 release to the top of 2010.

His rep said: “We believe that the album is so strong that we want to give it the opportunity to have the proper setup before coming out.”

“On Fire” samples Amy Holland’s “She’s on Fire” and according to the producing duo, it’s about a bad woman who’s on fire! So bad she may have come “straight outta hell.”

“He’s talking about a chick that’s on fire,” explained Dre, who, along with his partner Cool, produced the record, as well as a handful of other songs on Rebirth. “He’s on his knees praying to the Lord to keep him clear because she’s on fire. He’s got a bad one! She’s that bad that’s she might have came straight outta hell. I think he’s shooting a video for it. I think the video would be outrageous.”

Cool & Dre also dished the details about “Da Da Da,” which is way more rock inspired than the urban-rooted She’s On Fire.

“We did that record as well,” Dre said. “He plays the bass on the record. ‘She’s on Fire,’ it has more of an urban feel because of ‘Scarface.’ It has heavy 808. ‘Da Da Da’ is some rock sh–, but it’s some really hot sh–. And not rock sh–. I don’t wanna say ‘rock sh–.’ It’s everything too. He plays the bass on the record, he sings on it, spits on it. It’s something Rick James would bug out on. It’s hot.”

“On Fire” is pretty dope but we just can’t get into “Da Da Da.” And while we applaud Weezy for trying to bring something new to the game, we just can’t get with this whole “rock-rap” thing. Alicia Keys is the latest artist to suffer an album leak and below is the track she did with Beyonce called “Put It In A Love Song“. Chris Brown’s third studio album Graffiti leaked over the weekend and we’re not going to reveal too much on account us wanting to support the dude or whatever … but there are some hot songs on there! One that really stands out to us is this track called “Famous Girl” where he mentions a bunch of popular song references, including Keri Hilson’s “Knock You Down,” Kid Cudi’s “Day N Nite,” Kanye West’s “Amazing,” Beyonce’s “Halo” and more. He even mentions a popular song he wrote for Rihanna before their big fight/break-up!

Rapper/producer Timbaland and singer (turned rapper) Brandy have teamed up for this new track from called “Meet Me in the Middle.” Brandy is rapping in the song as Bran’Nu, which is her rapper alter ego (oh lawd!)

She doesn’t sound too bad on this though. It’s just different for us hearing Brandy rapping instead of singing (LOL!)  And what’s up with everyone and these alter egos? A new track from Chris Brown’s Graffiti Deluxe Edition leaked early yesterday. The track is called “I Love You“ and it features up and coming Ester Dean (“Drop it Low”). This definitely isn’t the best track we’ve heard off his new album but it isn’t that bad. The extended intro and outro work the the track and Gaga’s verse was “okay.” We think she could have come a bit harder but then again she was up against Beyonce and let’s face it, “Video Phone” is Beyonce’s song and it fits Beyonce.

But we definitely can see the two making a hot video to this and in just a matter of weeks, we will see the final result. It is being rumored once again that the video will premiere on November 23rd to go with release day of both Lady Gaga’s re-release and Beyonce’s DVD/CD combo. It was actually supposed to premiere last week, but something happened and they pushed it back to the 23rd.

Naturally, when a Rihanna or Chris Brown song leaks, look out for the other to release a track not too long after.

Chris debuted his next single on his twitter and insists there are so many singles because he is “trying to give all [his] fans more music”. Well thank God cause we’re surely tired of all the interviews and drama.

Anyway, the track is called “Sing Like Me” and it’s pretty damn hot. The production is on point and Chris is showing off how he’s grown vocally. We’re just glad it’s not another apology song!! Take a listen to it above and continue reading to download it…

A new song from Rihanna’s upcoming Rated R album leaked not too long ago. The track is called “Cold Case Love” and it was written by Justin Timberlake and produced by his team.

In the song, she’s obviously taking shots at ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The track is not bad but it isn’t anything to write home about. We got a bit bored listening to it but it finally heats up about 3 and a half minutes in. Unfortunately, she doesn’t sing for too much longer after that and the ending is a bit too long. Definitely not a bad track but we’re lad it’s not a single…for now.

Amerie is back to fight her way back up the charts with her latest album, In Love & War. After Touch, her last US released studio album was released in 2005 she’s back from a hiatus with brand a new home at Island Def Jam and a new line of producers behind her unique and soulful voice. With the release of her lead single “Why R U,” she let fans get a taste of 80’s Hip-Hop flare and hinted at what was to come next, which was the official single, “Heard ‘Em All,” penned and produced with the help of Sean Garrett and Eric Hudson.

You can definitely tell the absence of Rich Harrison was missed throughout this projectl though with the help from today’s best, the project came out well written and the sound quality was efficient. Amerie has had a lot of buzz during the past week with the anticipation of her new album. Amerie released a album, Because I Love It, in 2007 which hit shelves in the US after a year of being in the UK. With a four year void of Amerie she comes back hard with with her track “Heard ‘Em All” stating her landing back onto the scene.

In Love & War brings out a more eclectic Amerie adding Rock and Dance elements to the album. Although, the songs are fitting to Amerie’s voice, it seems like producers spent too much time trying to emulate the sounds of Rich Harrison’s “1 Thing”. All in all, Amerie delivered strong vocally on the entire album. Her voice is definitely one that’s missed throughout the R&B movement.

Super producer Bryan Michael Cox composed the soft slow-tempo “Red Eye.” Rico Love penned the hard-hitting cut, “Swag Back,” produced by Jim Jonsin. The track “More Than Love” which features Fabolous entails a dysfunctional relationship. The third single, “Pretty Brown,” which features Trey Songz is reminiscent to the modern day version of her debut single, “Why Don’t We Fall In Love,” as far as sound is concerned.

If this album was to have a standard grade I think it deserves a B-. This album is solid. It may not resemble the older sounds when Amerie first stepped on the scene but her sound has definitely evolved with more diversity of sound.

Notable tracks: Heard ‘Em All, Swag Back, Pretty Brown, Red Eye, Different People

Another track from Rihanna’s soon-to-be-released album Rated R has surfaced. The song is called “Hard” and it features Young Jeezy.

This is definitely the best track we’ve heard from the Rated R recording sessions. The beat goes hard and has a lot of swag but unfortunately, Jeezy’s verse is the standout of the song and Rihanna’s voice starts to get irritating after a bit. And it’s her damn song, SMH… There are a couple R&B chicks we could name that’d fit better on this track. But it is what it is. Peep the download link below.

It seems everyone is suffering from leaks these days. Another track has surfaced from Leona Lewis‘ upcoming album Echo. The track is titled “Lost Then Found” and was produced by Ryan Tedder.

“Lost Then Found” is very nice and naturally, Leona sounds amazing on it, but it seems like these typical ballad songs are the only thing she’s good at. It’s nothing special and if you’ve heard one Leona track, you’ve heard them all. On the bright side, she is trying out new styles by having another vocalist on the track.

Singer Michelle Williams recently sent us a link to the remix version of her song “Sick of It,” produced by SoulShock and Karlin. This version here was remixed by Chris Dave.

She recently revealed on her Twitter that she has a remix version of every song on her underrated album Unexpected and she will be slowly releasing all of them, so fans of Michelle’s work (including us) should be a bit amped! Unexpected was a good album and it’s sad it didn’t do well. Maybe next time…

Rihanna’s second single from her upcoming album Rated R has leaked and we hate to say this, but … this one here isn’t much better than “Russian Roulette.”

The underwhelming track, called “Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova),” was produced by Chase ‘N’ Status and is nothing compared to the singles she had during her Good Girl Gone Bad era. Good thing she’s got that big interview with ABC because at this rate she’ll need all the promotion and sales she can get. Download the new song below:
