Miranda Cosgrove and Brody Jenner presented Beyonce with the award for “Best Video” at the 2009 MTV EMA last night (Thur Nov 5). And when Beyonce made her speech she said she only wanted to thank one person:

“Okay, there’s only one person I wanna thank. …. And that is Jay for putting a ring on it”

Wait, this can’t really be the first time Beyonce has publicly acknowledged her marriage to Jay-Z in the past year and a half can’t it?? Better late than never we guess but damn!

Beyonce’s music video for “Single Ladies” beat out “Waking Up In Vegas” (Katy Perry), “Circus” (Britney Spears), “We Made You” (Eminem), “She Wolf” (Shakira) in the category. Earlier in the night she performed her hit single “Sweet Dreams.”

Rapper Jay-Z came out and spat some verses as he performed “Sunday Bloody Sunday” with U2 in front of Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate during the 2009 MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards) in Germany. This comes just a few days short of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall (Nov 9th).

U2 partnered up with MTV Europe and performed a free concert to help the city celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

R&B crooner John Legend and his model girlfriend of over 2 years Christine Teigen were picture perfect as they arrived on the red carpet of the 14th Annual National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund’s New York Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street Thursday evening (Nov 5).

John is in the middle of working on his fourth studio album, which he revealed is more soulful than his previous albums and will be completed by the end of he year and released by mid-2010.

“It’s soulful,” he tells The Boombox. “It’s a little more retro. It’s a collection of cover songs, so that’s part of the feel of it, taking us back. We still have a bit of work to do on it, but we’ll probably finish by the end of the year and put it out by the middle of next year.”

Rapper 50 Cent has crossed over to the world of fragrances, and here he can be seen at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City Thursday (Nov 5) promoting his new “Power by Fifty” cologne.

50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson) says that before he even got to work on the fragrance, he already knew he wanted it to smell “successful.”

“The fragrance Power was an idea I came up with,” 50 said before the event started. “I wanted to offer confidence. I wanted to make something that smells like success. We went through a whole lot of different ideas. I created storyboards, things I felt was representation of power. It turned into the actual shape of the bottle, if you look at the top. The details on it might remind you of my favorite watches, Audemars Piguet or Hublot. I wanted it to be masculine, sexy, attractive. Prior to creating this actual fragrance, I had the opportunity to enjoy Creed; that was one of my favorite fragrances. That kinda inspired me.”

And word is Kim Kardashian will be the spokeswoman for the upcoming perfume for women.

Aww, look at the big happy family! Khloe’s husband Lamar Odom, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, couldn’t make it due to the ongoing NBA season.

Kim, her brother Rob and her stepdad Bruce all got in the ring in the name of charity, while the rest of the family sat on the sidelines and watched their loved ones get beat up.

The event, which was recorded for an upcoming episode of “Keeping With the Kardashians,” was held to raise awareness for the Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization that grants wishes for adults with life-limiting illnesses. With close to 9,000 dreams fulfilled already, the charity’s goal is to make sure all adults with terminal illnesses get one final wish from the heart granted. Alicia Keys is featured on the track and music video but was unable to make it to Germany to perform the song with Jay, so his new artist Bridget Kelly filled in and to tell you the truth, homegirl could really give Alicia a run for her money! Wearing a long dark black dress, singer Leona Lewis performed her latest single “Happy” on stage last night (Thur Nov 5) at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards, held at the O2 Arena in Berlin, Germany.

We love Leona and judging solely on vocals, she nailed it! But her performance was definitely forgettable because she just stood in one spot … the … entire … performance, which is really boring. We were hoping she would at least slowly walk down that big azz catwalk as the song progressed or something! It’s a good thing she’s VERY easy on the eyes and had all of those nice visual effects on the screen helping her out.

Promoting her latest album She Wolf, Colombian Latin-pop singer/songwriter Shakira performed a great rendition of her new single “Did It Again” at Thursday night’s (Nov 5) 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.

We love how the performance started out just like the music video! Truth be told, we have no idea what she’s saying (who really listens to the words anyway? LOL) but that doesn’t take away from the energy of the overall performance one bit. The ending was dope too, when she put the mic down and did the choreography with the drummers.

Beyonce took to the stage to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards today in Berlin, Germany to perform her single “Sweet Dreams.” Naturally, she worked it out but we gotta admit we were expecting her to top the epic performance of “Single Ladies” she did at this year’s VMAs. This performance just felt really rushed and had very limited dancing. But she’s still Beyonce so you know she killed it anyway! Pop and R&B singer/songwriter Leona Lewis performed live on stage Monday night (Nov 2) in London, England at the Hackney Empire. She admits that she was terrified shortly before she hit the stage to perform at her first ever solo full length concert, but she says it went by so fast and she wants to do it more often by going on a world tour next year

“I wasn’t nervous until I got to the side of the stage, then I started shaking. I felt it went so fast and now I just want to do it again. I can’t wait to tour next year,” said Lewis. “I was so worried about falling over in front of the audience. I have never done anything like that before. I was so nervous,” she added.

Lady Gaga appeared on Fuse TV’s “On The Record” Tuesday (Nov 3) in New York City.

She will be featured in Beyonce’s new music video for “Video Phone,” which premieres tomorrow on MTV and MTV.com. And she and Beyonce also teamed up to create a song called “Telephone,” which will be featured on Lady Gaga’s album re-release.

Speaking with MTV News, Lady Gaga had nothing but good things to say about Beyonce as she recalled the fun times they had on the set of the music video.

“You know she is such a beautiful person, and I gotta tell you, I just adore her,” she said. “I had kind of lost faith a little bit in meeting artists in the business — and then I met Beyoncé.”

She also spoke briefly about how much fun the two of them have together. “She is a real, real woman,” Gaga said. “I have never laughed so hard on a video set in my life. We had the best time doing ‘Video Phone.’ “

Nickelodeon star Keke Palmer attended the 25th Annual Artios Awards, sponsored by the Casting Society of America, Monday night (Nov 2) at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California.

The 16-year-old actress was a presenter at the event, which honored select members in over eighteen different theatrical casting categories.

November is proving to be a pretty big month for the teen actress already and we’re only 4 days in. According to Black Celebrity Kids, she’ll put her vocal talent to work with a performance this Thanksgiving at the big Macy’s Thanksigiving Day Parade on November 26th.

“I am so excited about this performance , I will be debuting a song I co-wrote called , Top Of The World, so please if you are in the New York area come and check me out in person, and if not please tune in.”

Marking the end of the U.S. leg of his “Let Love Rule” 20th anniversary tour, soul rocker Lenny Kravtiz performed Sunday night (Nov 1) at the 2009 Voodoo Experience at City Park in New Orleans, Louisiana. The tour kicked off two weeks ago and signified his return back to the U.S. after living in Paris.

“I moved to Europe because of the climate in America — and I don’t just mean the economy or politics,” says Kravitz. “It was also what my record label was going through. People were getting fired every week. There was no money, and people were operating out of fear as opposed to creativity…it just became a drag.”

“I was like, ‘This is not what I do,’” says Kravitz. “I do what I feel. I don’t hire the producer du jour or have so-and-so rap on the middle part of a song.”

Rapper/producer Snoop Dogg gave fans in New York City a taste of his new album when he performed live on stage at the Nokia Theater Thursday night (Oct 29) as a part of his “Wonderland High School Tour.”

Accompanied by back-up dancers, an electric guitar, and an turntable, Snoop’s energy spread over the room like smoke, with goodies “The Next Episode,” “P.I.M.P.,” and “Gangsta Luv,” a joint off his new album, Malice N Wonderland. “New York, New York” had the crowd high, but it was The Lady of Rage, with her puffy hair in tow, that really awakened the audience. She blasted off “Afro Puffs” spitting, “I rock rough and stuff with my afro puffs.” She elicited the encouraging chant, “Hey, rock on wit cha bad self!”

Rock-inspired singer (and songwriter) Janelle Monae took the stage at the 2009 Voodoo Experience Friday (Oct 30) at City Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Janelle Monae was next up on the Voodoo Stage and quickly won over the crowd with her infectious rock-flavored soul. Dancing her ass off like a female James Brown, she also found time to slow it down for a vocal showcase of “Smile.” Just like at Bonnaroo, Monae finger painted a portrait of a woman’s posterior before launching it into the crowd.

And rapper Eminem performed as the headliner of the live show and closed out Friday’s concert.

The highlight for many of the thousands in attendance was the headliner of Eminem who performed for roughly an hour and 15 minutes as he made his return to the stage after a five-year hiatus. He hit the stage to “3. A.M.” “Hey New Orleans, I’m back. Did you miss me?” Eminem asked the crowd. After a huge applause – “I missed you, too.”

His set mashed up a number of his hits as he quickly went from one song into another in a sort of medley. “We Made You,” “The Real Slim Shady,” “Stan,” “Kill You” and “Toy Soldiers” were big sing-alongs, as was his encore of “Lose Yourself.”

Young R&B singer/songwriter Chris Brown, most notably the biggest act of the night, stole the show Tuesday night (Oct 27) in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the Izod Center as he performed for thousands of people during Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert. This marked Chris Brown’s FIRST major performance in over 8 months! And according to reports? Dude killed it! And the crowd loved it, which is great to hear considering all he’s been through the past year.

There was an immediate roar in the crowd as Brown came out in a black-and-red jacket that looked like a futuristic version of what Michael Jackson wore in the “Thriller” video. Brown wasted no time in getting to his new material, starting with “I Can Transform Ya.” Chris began at the back of the stage with his dancers, who were all dressed in black up to their face-covering motorcycle helmets. Brown started singing and walking to the front of the stage, where Swizz Beatz also emerged to rap the song’s hook.

R&B crooner Trey Songz performed on stage at Tuesday night’s (Oct 27) Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert in East Rutherford, NJ. Right after Songz’ performance he stuck around to watch his friend Chris Brown make his big comeback:

“Chris is a performer. In spite of all that’s been going on in his personal life, he’s gonna get out there and perform,” Songz said before Brown hit the stage. “I’m confident in that. As a friend, as a brother, I wanna see him go out there and shut it down. I believe everybody deserves a second chance. In God’s eyes, none of us are perfect, and he forgives us every day. He deserves a second chance, and I commend Power 105 for giving it to him.”

Singer Melanie Brown (formerly “Scary Spice” of the Spice Girls) and her husband Stephen Belafonte were boo’d up as they arrived on the red carpet of the UK premiere of the Michael Jackson “This Is It” movie at Odeon Leicester Square Tuesday night (Oct 27) in London.

Mel B’s newly toned physique has earned her some praises from gay men, and she says she’s proud to be a “gay icon.”

“I try hard with my body,” adding “I don’t look like a bloke though!”

She also recently confirmed that the Spice Girls will indeed be coming back together soon for a comeback of some sort.

“We are definitely planning something. We haven’t decided exactly what yet – but I can say it will be big.”

Director Spike Lee and his daughter Satchel and his son Jackson attended the Michael Jackson “This Is It” movie premiere at the Regal E-Walk Tuesday night (Oct 27) in New York City.

In an effort to motivate New York’s youth to stay in school, big names like Russell Simmons, Keri Hilson and Jim Jones participated in the 4th annual “Stay in School” pep rally & concert Tuesday night (Oct 27) in New York City.
