Wearing one of the looks from her new “Telephone” music video, pop singer Lady Gaga was spotted with diet coke cans rolled into her hair while she was arriving at Sydney International Airport in Australia early Wednesday morning (Mar 17).
Meanwhile, people were worried about Gaga earlier this week when video surfaced of her looking like she was 1 step away from passing out while performing the encore for one of her concerts. But her tour rep says everything’s good and she’s “totally fine.”
“[She is] totally fine. It was warm at the show, she was tired and bit dehydrated by the end of a two-hour-plus performance. She performed the second Auckland show the following night without an issue and will be back in full match fitness for her first Australian show.”

Pull out your “Free Wayne” or “Free Weezy” tees because after many a delay, rapper Lil Wayne is behind bars (for real this time). For the third time in just one month, Weezy made his way to a New York City courthouse for his hearing on his 1-year jail term for having a loaded gun on his tour bus.
AP says Wayne (real name: Dwayne Carter) gave a brief bow to fans/supporters as he was arrested and led out of the NYC courtroom in handcuffs to begin serving his year-long sentence Monday (Mar 8). He was arrested back in July 2007 after cops found a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun on his bus. He pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him in October.
Reports say the 27-year-old rapper chose not to speak at his sentencing yesterday when he turned himself in. With good behavior, he’ll only serve 8 months out of the year, and he will be held in protective custody (outside of the general pop.) at Rikers Island prison.
The Grammy winner — who has made upwards of $50 million a tour — was mobbed on his way into Manhattan Supreme Court by hundreds of reporters and cellphone-waving fans, and serenaded up the con crete steps by shouts of, “Weezy! We love you!” “Yo, keep your head up, Weezy!” one fan shouted from a back row of the courtroom as the cuffs went on. Lil Wayne — nickname “Weezy,” real name Dwayne Carter, age 27 — will continue making music in jail, said his lawyer, Stacey Richman. “He’s an unstoppable musician and creator,” she said.
This date has been a longtime coming for Wayne. The first time he was scheduled to appear in court, his attorney got the judge to postpone it a few weeks so that he could have dental surgery before he went into the slammer. The second time he was scheduled to turn himself in, a fire broke out at the courthouse just hours before he was to arrive.

The fellas of the R&B singing group Brutha (consisting of REAL brothers — Grady, Jake, Anthony, Papa and Jared) are back on the music scene with their new R. Kelly penned single “One Day On This Earth.” This new track comes straight from the R&B quintet’s sophomore album, Vacancy, due in stores soon.
You also might remember these guys from their BET reality show “Brothers to Brutha,” which was seen by 1.2 – 1.5 million viewers every week.
“The show allowed us to create a pretty solid fan base because we had 1.2 to 1.5million viewers every week,” says Jared who brings his love of hip-hop into Brutha’s sound. “But I don’t think the show really showed a lot of our musical side so now it’s time to start focusing more on the music.”
While their first album was well received by their fans, Brutha is ready to show the world just how far they have come. Their sophomore album, Vacancy is an intimate reflection of their young, fly and flashy lifestyle. With production from contemporary greats like R. Kelly, Vacancy is a sexy ride in the fast lane told only the way Brutha can.
“With our first album, we were new in the game,” says Anthony whose production knowledge enhances the guys’ overall sound. “We didn’t really get a chance to be ourselves. Wearing a see through plastic dress and a silver lobster headpiece, pop singer Lady Gaga was spotted outside Mr. Chow’s restaurant in London, England Saturday night (Feb 27) following her last “Monster Ball” tour date in the English capital.
In related news, Gaga recalled of an incident where an ex boyfriend of hers said she would never amount to anything and said that she was a complete failure, which in turn, made her that much more determined to succeed as a pop star.
She tells Cosmopolitan magazine, “I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the f**king deli without hearing or seeing me.’”

Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were among mourners who attended the funeral for fashion designer Alexander McQueen Thursday afternoon (Feb 25) at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London in England.
Only McQueen’s family and close friends, including fashion icon Daphne Guiness (who wore a dramatic black veil and a flowing cape from McQueen’s Fall 2002 line), were in attendance at the private ceremony, held two weeks after the 40-year-old fashion figure hanged himself. According to Alexander’s camp, a larger and much more public memorial service is scheduled to be held after Paris Fashion Week.

Angelina Jolie is a tourist!
Angelina Jolie has left Italy and is now in France filming her new movie “The Tourist.” The 34-year-old award winning actress was spotted in Paris earlier today on the set of the film, which is set to be released about a year from now. Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, the upcoming remake of the French film “Anthony Zimmer” also stars Johnny Depp and Sam Worthington, according to Wiki.
In related news, it’s being said that Angelina turned down the chance to reprise her role as “Fox” in the upcoming sequel to “Wanted” so that she can work on Warner Bros. new space thriller “Gravity.” NY Mag is saying that the studio really wanted her to be in “Wanted 2” and now that she’s backed out, they’ve pulled the plug on the film rather than recast.
Like Wanted 2, Gravity had previously been set up at Universal, with Jolie set to star. But a few weeks ago, the studio put Gravity into turnaround, possibly because it’s such an artistically challenging project: Jolie would be alone on-screen for much of the movie, playing the sole surviving human member of a space mission, desperately trying to return home to Earth and her daughter. (In that way it’s reminiscent of the brilliant, little-seen Moon with Sam Rockwell. Seriously, why won’t you see it?) Now Warners has snapped it up, and it will be produced by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows producer David Heyman and Legendary Pictures.

Fresh from his weekend vacation in Hawaii, a noticeably happy Chris Brown was spotted as he arrived in Los Angeles via LAX Airport Monday (Feb 22). Chris was accompanied by his crew, which included a bodyguard and music producer Polow Da Don, as he walked through the terminals and played up for the cameras before hopping into his vehicle parked outside.

Travis Barker does NOT like the paparazzi…
Over the weekend, rock star Travis Barker got into a scuffle with a couple of paparazzos outside the Cafe Marmalade, a restaurant in Calabasas, CA. Apparently, some photographers harassed him and his daughter as they entered the restaurant and Travis basically told the photographer, “I’ll kick the s**t outta you bro… if I didn’t have my little girl in my hands … give me an hour and I’ll meet you.” The photog said he’d be waiting.
As Barker exited the restaurant, he got into a yelling match with a new set of photogs and ultimately, the police ended up being called and the situation was quickly settled.
Since then, videos have been released of the incident and Travis Barker has released a brief statement via his Twitter:
Bottom line, take photos at red carpets. Take pics of hungry hollywood starlets and douche bags that are out at clubs and bars that like it. Bottom line I don’t. I’m not a socialite out begging for that kind of attention. I’m a family man out wit my kids. Don’t get the 2 twisted. Well well well… Look at who was spotted together in Italy! Angelina Jolie and her estranged father, Hollywood actor Jon Voight, were spotted along with Brad Pitt and their daughter Zahara getting into a taxi boat in Venice after enjoying a sunny day in the Italian city. The Jolie-Pitt family is currently spending some time together in Italy as Angelina films her new movie “The Tourist” with Johnny Depp.
Just case you didn’t know, Angelina and her dad Jon haven’t been spotted together in several years due to a family rift. They parted ways in 2001 after Voight said that his daughter needed help for “her serious mental problems” in a TV interview. But recently Brad has been trying to get his wife and his future father-in-law to patch things up so that the kids can have a relationship with Jon.

R&B singer Chris Brown attended a probation hearing yesterday afternoon (Thurs. Feb 18) at Los Angeles Criminal Courts to obtain a report on his progress regarding his community service and domestic violence classes. According to TMZ, Chris has proved that he has completed 32 days of hard labor in his hometown Virginia and has attended 17 out of the required 52 classes of domestic violence tolerance without absence. Judge Patricia Schnegg said:
“Looks like you’re doing really, really well.” she added, “You are participating and doing a very good job.”
She also has given him permission to travel out of the country from May 18th to June 27th to do some shows. His next hearing however, is May 11th.

Finally after 3 years and 2 children, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have informed all friends and family that they will be tying the knot. Richie confirmed the news during a taping of David Letterman’s Late Show Monday. Good Charlotte’s front man Madden had his say via Twitter and revealed that the couple have secretly been engaged for some time now.
“Yep. I’m engaged. Very happy,” Madden wrote. “Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so you’re all kind of late on that. But thanks for the hooplah all the same.” Taking a knock at the tabloids who have long-speculated over the couple’s possible breakups, make-ups and secret weddings, Madden added a note highlighting their discreet inner circle. “P.S. that’s why I love my family and friends. Pro golfer Tiger Woods and an unidentified male were spotted jogging near Tiger’s home in Orlando, FL Wednesday afternoon (Feb 17). This is the first time Tiger Woods has been positively identified in the public since his November 2009 “car accident,” which later erupted into a media frenzy revolving around his sex scandal.
It was announced earlier Wednesday that Tiger would be making a statement this Friday (Feb 19) at 11 a.m. Eastern at the PGA headquarters in Florida.
“Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11:00 a.m. EST Friday at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida” (PGA headquarters), said a statement emailed from Woods’s agent, Mark Steinberg, and his spokesman, Glenn Greenspan and reported by the Bloomberg news service. “Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologize for his behavior.”
The prepared remarks are said to run for five to seven minutes and we’re told that Tiger will not be taking any questions.

Bey and Tina Knowles were spotted out in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil earlier this week trying to get some sightseeing in, but they were mobbed by a group of paparazzi and tourists as they made their way through the Brazilian , stopping at landmarks along the way. Well look who’s fresh out of rehab! Actress Maia Campbell was spotted on Melrose Ave. over in California recently looking healthy as ever.
According to photographer Seven, Maia was “looking good and very happy and upbeat.” There was no sign of her being high, and she was carrying a bag of Miss Jessie’s hair care products. She looked to be fully on the road to recovery with the drug abuse as a thing of the past. Normally, she is unwilling to take pictures, but she was more than cooperative and happy to do so this time around. The photog also says “she smelled good.”

Aww, poor Quween on the Scene!
Apparently the police didn’t take too well to the Quween on the Scene protecting country singer LeAnn Rimes from the “posarazzi” so they arrested her. LeAnn’s story is that the Quween was harassing her, but we know otherwise.
Rimes, who apparently didn’t want to be photographed, was leaving a doctor’s office in LA Thursday afternoon (Feb 4) when Quween “got a little too close,” prompting nearby police to cuff the woman, who is a known guardian to celebrities who walk down her sidewalk. She feels as though it’s her job to protect the stars from the flashing lights.

Most of you probably saw Taylor Swift’s recent performance with Stevie Nicks at this year’s Grammys (if not, peep it HERE) and you probably saw how mediocre and pitchy Taylor’s vocals were. Well since then, there has been a bunch of negative chatter about the terribly put together performance and now Taylor’s label boss Scott Borchetta, CEO of Big Machine Records has come to her defense:
“Maybe she’s not the best technical singer,” he began in comments to The Tennessean, “but she’s probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it.”
He also went on to say this about her voice:
“I think (the critics) are missing the whole voice of a generation that is happening right in front of them,” he told the paper. “This is not ‘American Idol.’ This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It’s not about that technically perfect performance.”
Hmmm. It’s great to see Taylor Swift’s label boss coming to her defense like captain save a hoe but there’s really no excuse for Taylor’s awful performance. And she definitely deserve that “Album of the Year” Award. Just thought we’d throw that out there…

Tennis phenom and Australian Open winner Serena Williams was all smiles as she made her way into a Physical Therapist’s office in Beverly Hills yesterday (Tues. Feb 2). And she has a damn good reason to have a smile painted on her face too.
Serena defeated her opponent Justine Henin during the 2010 Australian Open and walked away with the women’s title during the annual tournament, held Saturday (Jan 30) in Melbourne Australia at Melbourne Park.

R&B legend Whitney Houston touched town in Incheon, South Korea this morning and was welcomed by the people of the Asian country as she arrived at Incheon International Airport.
Whitney is set to perform two dates (Feb. 6 and 7) at the Olympic Park Gymnasium in Seoul this weekend before kicking off her “Nothin’ But Love World Tour” to support her latest album I Look to You.
“I will meet Korean fans first on this tour. This is my first performance in Korea, but I’m excited as if I’m going on my first world tour,” Whitney said in an interview. “I will truly present Whitney’s music rather than just show many things.”

Lady Gaga and Beyonce shot the music video for their big collaboration single “Telephone” last week in California and here are a few pictures straight from the set!
Bey and Gaga filmed acting, performance and dancing scenes inside a diner on the side of the road in the desert, then filmed scenes inside a truck named the “P*ssy Wagon,” which just so happens to be the same truck used by actress Uma Thurman in the two-part epic film “Kill Bill.” The vehicle is now owned by Quentin Tarantino (who wrote “Kill Bill”) and the writer/director was generous enough to loan it to Beyonce and Lady Gaga for the video shoot. Actor/model/singer Tyrese was also seen on the set during the diner scene. He confirmed via his Twitter page last week that he was the love interest in the clip.
According to New York Magazine, the video for “Telephone” is a continuation of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” video and includes scenes of Beyonce rescuing Gaga from prison.

In an effort to raise money for Haitian earthquake relief, a gang of singers, rappers, producers, musicians and other celebrities showed up at Jim Henson Studios yesterday (Mon. Feb 1) in Hollywood to record “We Are the World 25 Years for Haiti,” a remake of Michael Jackson’s famous “We Are the World” song, which raised at least $30 million for African humanitarian programs 25 years ago.
Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie came together and rounded up folks like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jennifer Hudson, Wyclef Jean, Jamie Foxx, Justin Bieber, LL Cool J, Usher, Keri Hilson, Brandy and a ton of other celebrities to lay down vocals and instrumentals for the charity single.
The song and accompanying music video will premiere on NBC next Friday (Feb. 12th) during the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. Check out 30+ pictures of celebrities banding together for a good cause below…
